We are a community interest company with charity status. Our CIC is 650 3281. Although we have charity status, we are an independent organisation which receives no government funding; therefore we rely on generous funders to keep the project open for all our clients.
At SAP, we provide training and support for adults with learning difficulties. The adults are trained under close supervision to produce good quality arts and crafts for sale to the public and businesses. These activities give the adults a new focus and key skills for an independent lifestyle. Many of the adults start their journey with us with severe problems and find it hard to adjust to social capacities of life that many of us would be comfortable with. However, over time they gain confidence and form a part of the group leading to consider us an extension to their family. The project is a place where they can dance, learn, play and talk.
At the project, we produce a range of handmade products such as bags, cards for many different occasions, jewellery, paintings as well as seasonal products. We are always looking at new ideas to produce fun products for all to enjoy. All profits made from sales are ploughed back into the business and are used back on the adults
