Snap. Unlocking childrens creativity with pictures

To raise £10,000 to cover photographic equipment, travel, and accommodation for teaching trips to S Africa and the Congo

Project aim

To raise £10,000 for the photographic equipment, travel costs, and accomodation for our teaching trips to South Africa and the Congo, where we will teach photography to the next generation.

About the project

Snap has been formed through a love of photography and the desire to give disadvantaged children a voice. A voice through their photography, something they wouldn’t normally have access to. We use photography as a creative and educational tool to inspire and develop children. Reaching out to volunteer professional photographers, students and enthusiasts we harness their knowledge and skills to produce our unique photography programme aimed at 10-16 year olds. All of the children taught in our programmes become part of the Snap network, enabling them to share their photos with each other and the outside world. Their work will be shared, exhibited and sold to further promote what they can do but also enable more and more children to be taught by Snap.

We need to raise £10,000 for cameras, films, memory cards and scanners, and for travel and accommodation for use on our teaching trips. Our next trip is to a school in South Africa.

In return for your help we will list you as a Snap sponsor on our web page http://snap.foundation/. You can follow our trips to see the children that you have directly helped. Please donate today and be part of this fantastic cause.
