Sleeping Bags for Rough Sleepers in Glasgow

Sleeping Bags for Rough Sleepers in Glasgow

Glasgow charities have run out of sleeping bags for rough sleepers. It's freezing. Let's at least keep people warm. A sleeping bag cost £20.

We did it!

On 28th Dec 2016 we successfully raised £1,260 of £1,000 target with 29 supporters in 21 days

New stretch target

If we exceed our target we will donate the excess to homelessness charities to help them give a better Christmas to people who need it and to help with winter demands.

£20 is all it costs to buy a sleeping bag.

People should not be sleeping rough in 2016, but that sadly is still the case. There are many reasons for this and we have been trying to understand some of them. We KNOW there are wider issues at stake - improvements to systems, policy and practice to support people with often complex needs are required. Through our MP Anne McLaughlin and our MSP Ivan McKee, we're working on trying to find the solutions.

But for now, people simply cannot be left to freeze.

Ivan and Anne along with some of us have met with charities working with homeless people in Glasgow and they have told us the immediate issue is the lack of sleeping bags for rough sleepers. We will use the money you donate to buy sleeping bags to donate to Glasgow City Mission and The Simon Community.

Please help.
