Sisters Targeting Tokyo Olympics 2020

Please help keep Eleanor and Louisa Piper on the Archery GB Olympic Pathway

We did it!

On 31st Jul 2017 we successfully raised £1,227 with 30 supporters in 70 days

Thank you for taking the time to read this Crowdfunding request.

Eleanor (18) is the No 1 UK U18 archer (No 9 UK Senior Lady), GBR European silver medal winner and Double Overall Junior National champion. Her 13 year old sister Louisa is ranked No 4 UK U18 archer, England U18 medal winner, Double U14 National champion and has claimed 19 UK National Records in three years; she is  regarded by the Senior Olympic Coach as one of the best archers in the world for her age. Both sisters have been on the Archery GB Olympic Pathway for the last three years, train six days a week and are currently two of only eight UK girls at AGB Confirmation level.

A reduction in the Archery Talent Pathway budget, compounded by the loss of UK Sports funding, means that archers on the Olympic Pathway have been asked to fund coaching at a cost of £250 per month per athlete in order to remain on programme. The girls' family do not have the money to fund this £3,000 x 2 pa increase in coaching fees in addition to their on-going costs and now need your help to support them through the next year.

£6,000 would keep both girls on AGB Confirmation for the next coaching cycle and fulfill their dreams to shoot for GBR at the World Youth Championships in Argentina in October where both are potential medal winners. In addition Louisa is targeting selection for GBR at the Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires in 2018.

The cost of funding two young archers at the top of their sport, and with real ambition to become Olympians, requires on-going funding and the girls would welcome any longer term sponsorship opportunities and can be reached on: hpiper-king@virginmedia.com

Thank you again for your time.
