Dyffryn Nantlle 2020 a Siop Griffiths

Mae Dyffryn Nantlle 2020 yn grwp cymunedol sy'n gweithio efo pobl ifanc a'r gymuned, trwy ddarparu gweithgareddau celfyddydol, awyr agored, iaith a diwylliant. 'Rydym eisiau prynu Siop Griffiths, i sefydlu llety, lle paratoi bwyd/caffi, busnesau beics ac awyr agored, lle i bobl ifanc ddatblygu sgiliau digidol, a chynnal rhaglen o hyfforddiant lletygarwch, arlwyo a thwristiaeth i bobl ifanc i weithio yn y busnesau.

Mae Siop Griffiths yn adeilad pwysig yn y pentref. Mae'n un o'r adeiladau hynaf, a cafodd ei ddefnyddio fel un o'r gorsafoedd teithwyr cyntaf yn y byd. Mae wedi cynnal busnesau am 200 mlynedd, ond mae wedi bod yn wag ers 4 blynedd, ac mae'r safle, yng nghanol y pentref, yn dirwyio.

Mae'r perchennog wedi rhoi tan Ragfyr 1af i godi £70,000 i brynu'r adeilad. Gobeithio gallwn godi £35,000 gan y gymuned leol (diweddariad 09.11.15 - mae'r cymuned wedi cyrraedd at £21,500), a hanner o arian torfol. Cawsom grant i wneud ymchwil i gynhyrchu'r syniadau ar gyfer yr adeilad, ac mae gennym gynllun a chostau i'w adnewyddu gan bensaer lleol. Hefyd 'rydym yn cael cyngor a chymorth gan Sefydliad Plunkett a Chanolfan Gydweithredol Cymru i greu cynllun busnes, a newid ein strwythur i gydweithfa budd cymunedol.

Ar ol i ni brynu'r adeilad, byddwn ni'n defnyddio ein cynllun busnes i geisio am grantiau i adnewyddu'r adeilad, ond bydd y fenter yn cael y mwyafrif o'i incwm yn y dyfodol o'r busnesau yn yr adeilad.

Dyffryn Nantlle 2020 and Siop Griffiths

Dyffryn Nantlle 2020 is a community group working with young people and the community. It provides arts, outdoor, language and culture activities. We want to buy Siop Griffiths, to set up a bunkhouse, somewhere to prepare food/cafe, bikes and outdoor pursuits businesses, a place for young people to develop digital skills, and run a training programme in hospitality, catering and tourism for young people to work in the businesses.

Siop Griffiths is an important building in the village. It is one of the oldest, and the building was used as one of the first passenger stations in the world. It has been a home to businesses for 200 years, but became vacant 4 years ago, and the site, in the middle of the village, is deteriorating.

The owner has given us until December 1st to raise £70,000 to buy the buiilding. We hope to raise £35,000 from the local community (update 09.11.15 - the community has now raised £21,500), and half from crowd funding. We received a grant to carry out research to produce ideas for the building, and we have plans and costs to renovate it from a local architect. We are also getting support from the Plunkett Foundation and the Wales Co-operative Centre to create a business plan, and change our structure to a community benefit co-op.

After buying the building we will use our business plan to apply for grants to renovate the building, but in the future the enterprise will derive most of its income from the businesses in the buidling.
