Project aim

My dream is to become a doctor in the USA. i need to take exams i cannot afford. please fund me to live the life i worked hard for!

About the project

When i was 14 i was diagnosed with anorexia and was sent to a hospital for 2 years of my life. before that time i wanted to be an actor and that dream went out of the window with my illness. during my time in the hospital i was inspired by the doctors who saved my life. when i left i had a new ambition; i wanted to become a doctor. i worked hard after i got out and got the highest grades in GCSE and A levels in my school despite missing so much school. With those grades i got a place to read medicine in cambridge.

I am now in my 5th year and deciding where i want to live my life. i have spent time in the USA and loved it. i want to move to the USA and become an oncologist as this speciality is one that i find utterly fascinating. however, in order to move i need to take an exam called the USMLE, dubbed one of the hardest exams in the world. this exam in divided into 3 parts, each of which cost $1000 on average. i have to take one of those exams in the USA which will bring the cost of taking these exams up to around $4000 with admin fees.

On top of this i am going to undertake a clinical elective in Sydney and am really struggling to find any source of funding. my friend who went to the same place said that their elective cost around £4500-5000 so this is just something i have to raise the money for. All of the money raised will go towards costs i incur during my academic studies. Any remaining cash at the end will go to a medical charity which i will decide if the time comes. i will not use any money for any materialistic goods. i just want to pay for my education.

Please donate to me so i can carry out these parts of my course and make my dream a reality. i have had a life full of sadness, disappointment and life-threatening hospitalisations. i just want to know that i can achieve my dreams in this world and help my future patients.
