I am organising a charity funday based around a boat building competition, I want to run a silent auction alongside the boat building event to raise extra funds. So far been unsuccessful in getting anyone to donate prizes for the silent auction so decided to try a different avenue.
The charity I am trying to support is Great Ormond Street Hospital, although I am lucky enough to have never needed to use their facilities, I do however have a two year old son and another child on the way so understand that the hope and support they offer to young children and their families is priceless but also something that needs the support of people like myself to raise money to ensure the important work they do is possible.
I put 2000 as a target as I feel I could get 5 very good prizes for the auction which I will charge 10 pound per entrant for their 10 pound the entrant will receive 5 tickets (one for each prize) on which they write their bid post in the box for each lot and the lowest unique bid will win the prize.
Maybe we can stretch to a trophy for the winner of the boat building competition from the 2000
I am looking at holding the event in canary wharf on 2nd of July and if successful I would love to make it an annual event.
