Corrective surgery for Sienna Barton with Proliferative Retinopathy, (PVR detachment) of both eyes.
Sienna Barton is a five year old girl who lives with her widowed mother in Guyana, where the needed surgery IS NOT AVAILABLE, and the family is poor and cannot afford to send Sienna to a developed country where the surgery is available.
It is important for Sienna to have this surgery early so that she does not loose her sight completely.
The money raised will help to bring Sienna to London Moorfield Eye Hospital, or Great Osmond Street Hospital for corrective surgery. The money will provide the cost of the surgery, travel, basic accommodation for Sienna and her mum in London, as well as aftercare. It will help return Sienna and her mum to and fro for about four quartely aftercare assessment before her final discharge.
