Mark Saunders and Marc Maier will be competing togther in The International Isle of Man TT Sidecar F2 Races, and need help to fund this event.

MS Racing team members Mark Saunders and Marc Maier competed for the first time together at the Isle of Man TT in 2015 and even with the lack of practice due to poor weather and an uncomfortable riding postion caused Mark's leg to go numb, making it difficult to change gear, the team gain a personal best lap time, finished 35th and achieved a 99mph average lap.  In the second race the team crashed but thankfully walked away with minor injuries.  The same could not be said for the sidecar, which required a lot of work to get it in working order.

Mark and Marc will be competing together for this year's Isle of Man TT and Southern 100 and decided in order to become competitive, they would require a new sidecar to enable them to achieve there objectives and make good progression each year.  The team is purchasing a new GLR Sidecar and will cost £24,000.  This outlay has reduced the amount of money we have saved to compete to zero and we are therefore looking for help to get to the Isle of Man TT.

The Isle of Man TT is a time trail competed on closed public roads, each sidecar race has 3 laps and each lap is 37.8 miles.

The Souther 100 is ran at Castletown on the Isle of Man and is a race on closed public roads, each sidecar race is 8 laps and each lap is 4 miles.

The current outlay the team has to find to beable to compete at the Isle of Man TT 2016 is as follows,

Ferry for the whole team £3000

Race fuel £500, each lap costs approx £25

Full set of slick tyres £650

Oil changes £135

Brake pads £150

To give the team a professional look we need to get the sidecar fairing sprayed £500.

The crash damaged both Mark and Marc's helmets and leathers which will cost £2500 to replace.

The team have the following objectives for the year's TT,

  1. Break the 100mph lap
  2. Finish both races
  3. Finish in the top 30 sidecars

Anyone who supports the team will be very welcome at any meeting and will be kept upto date on social media of our progess. Everyone who sponsors the the team will receive a raffle ticket for every £50 they give.  This raffle ticket will be put into a draw for the chance to win a sidecar taxi ride. The date and circuit to be confirmed.

We are open to other suggestion of support so please get in touch if you have any suggestions or questions, thank you for taking the time to read about MS Racing.
