Creating quality shopping bags to raise money for food banks, first I need to fix the motor on my 1930s sewing machine To process leather for a higher quality product.
About the project
Here in the UK 33% are now living below the poverty line, and food banks are becoming a tragic necessity for more of the population. Using my skills with a sewing machine, I want to create a selection of totes/shopping bags to be sold to raise fund for these food banks, and raise awareness for the shocking reality many are facing.
I can get the most funds from quality leather tote bags, and have all the materials,marketing and point of sales covered-my only issue is the motor on my semi-industrial machine needs to be replaced. I have a quote and the price is £60 with good aftercare services, allowing me to proceed with creating products and support for the machines maintenance.
Everything is in place, this is my final hurdle.
