We are so excited to have received all your support. We can carrying on fundraising until Friday for this project. All the extra funds raised will go towards buying character shoes for the young people who need them the most. This will mean they can enjoy the social and theatrical training that we offer, take part in the rehearsals and the all important performances.
As I write this they are rehearsing for West Side Story and performing Remote at The Theatre Royal Plymouth on Thursday.

A community children's theatre in St Ives urgently needs shoes for the children to practice and perform their musicals in this summer.
Kidz R Us is one of the UK's leading youth theatre companies based in St Ives, Cornwall. We give local young people the chance to develop new skills and self esteem, gain confidence in their own abilites and possibly discover the direction for a future career.
Every year we provide theatrical and social education to over 100 young , local people between the ages of 6 to 22 years and we put on 5 musical productions. Many of the children come from disadvantaged backgrounds, with parents facing significant financial difficulties. We know from experience that we can make a real difference to their day to day lives.

" I was a member for over 2 years. Then I moved to London to become a professional actor, I am still doing this today. I have to say that what Phil Barnett and the other volunteers at Kidz do for the young people in St Ives and the surrounding area is fantastic. He teaches them not only how to sing, dance etc, he teaches them respect, discipline, kindness and personal bravery. All to kids who often find it hard to find a place to fit at home or at school. Kidz is a fantastic charity that does more than put on a few shows a year, it is a home and a family and a safe haven and I'm so very proud to have been a part of it."
At the end of May this year over 100 Kidz will be performing West Side Story at the theatre, we urgently need to raise money for 30 pairs of sparkly shoes for them to perform in. We are also looking for support for our children who most need it over the next two years. Many of our children are unable to afford character shoes for rehearsals and other performances we hope you will be able to support us to purchase these shoes for the children that most need them.
