I'm Shauna, a photographer from Lancashire. I spend my days wandering the English countryside searching for moments I would like to keep.
You'll find me getting lost in forests, climbing hills and rooting through bushes for interesting flowers and leaves. I am inspired by music, light and tiny details. My work has been described as provoking a sense of quietness and stillness, something welcomed in our busy and fast paced lifestyles.
It is my aim to set up a website to sell prints, and one day hopefully my own photo books!
Unfortunately my camera broke mid 2015, halfway through my final year of my degree. It cannot be repaired as it is 7 years old and is just too tired to carry on. Luckily I was able to borrow one from university to finish my projects with, but I haven't been able to save up enough to buy another despite working. I am crowdfunding to buy equipment, pay for a website/online shop to be built, marketing per month for 6 months and for print and postage costs for the first 6 months also. Hopefully if I raise the desired amount, it will be enough to get started and hopefully get my work out there!
It is my absolute dream to make a living selling my nature photographs, currently I sell them through 3rd party websites who take a large cut of the profits, and I also have no control over the quality of the prints so it would be great to be able to sell them directly myself.
Please watch my slideshow video, it is every single nature photograph I made from January 2014 to April 2015, before my camera broke.
