Shade Theatre are taking our original work 'A.D.A.M - The Modern Frankenstein' to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer! Performance dates are the 15th to the 20th of August at the Space on the Mile, however we are looking for help in fundraising.
About The Show
In this adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic, troubled programmer Victor Stone attempts to restore his reputation after being responsible for crashing the stock market. Through ensemble theatre, we explore his journey in the creation of artificial life, as well as his struggle with personal demons. 'A.D.A.M' was performed in Loughborough in May 2015 to overwhelmingly postive reviews.
"I was immeasurably impressed with the quality of acting and scriptwriting that went into the amateur production –I would recommend it to anyone and everyone and I hope it gets taken into other theatres and festivals for more to see.” – Label Online
About The Company
Set up by students of Loughborough University, Shade Theatre aim to produce innovative and new work. Straying away from theatre for aesthetics sake, Shade aim to put on shows with a message. Shade’s productions are usually minimalist, as we believe the message of the play itself is more important than any sort of intricate set or technical design. Saskia and Lewis have collaborated on several succesful productions. Both written by Lewis and directed and produced as a combination of the pair, these shows were performed in Loughborough to positive reviews, and have plans to be taken further to competitions and festivals, as well as a potential transfer to Germany in 2017.
