Lots you of will be already be aware that I'm incredibly proud that my son Josh has been selected to play football for Cornwall under 13s in an international tournament in Germany in May this year. This is all the more incredible considering this is his first full season of playing football.
The tournament has teams from all over Europe and has previously featured teams from Borussia Dortmund, Vitesse Arnhem and Feyenoord, amongst others. This really is a footballing trip of a lifetime for Josh and the other boys who've been selected.
The trip itself is 10 days long and will take in the tournament itself as well as going to Holland to support Cornwall under 15s in their own tournament, trips to a couple of stadiums, including Borussia Dortmund and to cap it off a trip to a theme park, which is supposed to be sick (apparently this is a young persons word meaning cool).
So this is where you lot, who've taken the time to read this, come in - I need help to fund the trip. Part of the trip comes from fundraising that the boys will be doing themselves - back packing at Tescos, sponsored penalty shoot-out (if you back this, you won't be hassled for sponsor money, I promise!)
I need to raise £470.00 to send Josh on the wonderul trip - any money that is raised above this, will be given to Kernow Youth League to aid with their fundraising target.
Any amount of money will be a massive help, even a pound or two or anything that you can spare.
Thank you for any contributions - Josh & I will be eternally grateful.
