With approximately 400 members, South Devon School of Gymnastics (SDSG) encourages young people from toddlers to late teens, to stay fit and enjoy an active lifestyle, some just for fun and some competitively.
We currently have gymnasts in the South West and Devon squads, as well as a team of gymnasts who competed in their first international competition in Malta last year. We will be sending another team to Malta in 2017.
Tiri Hughes is a much-loved member of the SDSG family and part of the GB disabilities squad. Tiri trained with us for several years before moving away to continue her studies at The Royal National College for the Blind. She won three British championships within her category and has been selected as an ambassador by British Gymnastics for disability gymnastics.
Due to a change of use of our current premises, we are looking for a new home and need to source the right place to ensure the continued growth of the club and development of all gymnasts including those following an elite pathway.
The move and instalment of specialist equipment such as foam pits will cost thousands of pounds. As a charity, our trustees and coaches work hard to provide the best for all our members and every pound donated will be used for the best of our members.
