Greetings, one and all. I'm here to present my idea (Scoring At Home), a bespoke music/fx composition and recording service for all kinds of media/arts projects that are on limited budgets but still looking for polished, professional and, most importantly, original pieces of music. This project began when I was asked by L.A. based writer/director Michael Xavier (http://www.facebook.com/michaelxavierwriter) to score a short spoken word/visual piece to be shown at next years South by Southwest Festival in Texas (The piece can be previewed on the youtube video above). Since this has happened, Michael has been promoting my work to his client base with some potential interest and I have already been commissioned for another piece to begin in the new year. Unfortunately, the last piece I worked on was recorded on other peoples equipment out of their generosity and I no longer have access to that equipment, so I'm looking to set up a small recording suite in my home to allow me to compose and send works to people without having to go cap in hand to other peoples studios. I don't need a lot of equipment, as I have all the instruments I need, I just need a small multitrack recording desk, Microphones, controller keyboard and a dedicated computer/software suite to enable me to produce the works. I'm primarily looking to work with clients in the fields of: Web Designers Game Designers Animators (digital and traditional) Short film Directors Choreographers/performance artists Advertising companies Photographic agencies Producers Authors Theatre Companies But I'm keen to work on any interesting project. I'll be setting up a Facebook page to keep contributors regularly updated as to progress and potential projects and would be more than happy to share links of other peoples projects and contributors work. Anyone with a like minded or relevant crowdfunder project would be welcome to add their links too. Once established and funding is in place, a dedicated web page will be set up with links to Crowdfunder and major contributors to make sure other people know about this wonderful site. Many of my Facebook contacts have pledged support to my idea, and promised to share this page and the 'Scoring At Home' Facebook page on their own pages, with a lot of them working in theatre/music/arts and are always keen to see new work and ideas so it's well worth your while posting your own links as they'll reach a large audience. I've set up a list of rewards for contributors as a big thank you for putting your time, money and above all faith in my idea and abilities and, if the funding is successful, I can only hope that the end results go a little way to voicing the sincere gratitude I have for you taking the time to look over my idea. My sincerest thanks. Woody McMillan Scoring At Home

Greetings, one and all.

I& 39;m here to present my idea (Scoring At Home), a bespoke music/fx composition and recording service for all kinds of media/arts projects that are on limited budgets but still looking for polished, professional and, most importantly, original pieces of music.

Unfortunately, the last piece I worked on was recorded on other peoples equipment out of their generosity and I no longer have access to that equipment, so I& 39;m looking to set up a small recording suite in my home to allow me to compose and send works to people without having to go cap in hand to other peoples studios.

I don& 39;t need a lot of equipment, as I have all the instruments I need, I just need a small multitrack recording desk, Microphones, controller keyboard and a dedicated computer/software suite to enable me to produce the works.

I& 39;m primarily looking to work with clients in the fields of:

  • Web Designers
  • Game Designers
  • Animators (digital and traditional)
  • Short film Directors
  • Choreographers/performance artists
  • Advertising companies
  • Photographic agencies
  • Producers
  • Authors
  • Theatre Companies

But I& 39;m keen to work on any interesting project.

I& 39;ll be setting up a Facebook page to keep contributors regularly updated as to progress and potential projects and would be more than happy to share links of other peoples projects and contributors work. Anyone with a like minded or relevant crowdfunder project would be welcome to add their links too.

Once established and funding is in place, a dedicated web page will be set up with links to Crowdfunder and major contributors to make sure other people know about this wonderful site.

Many of my Facebook contacts have pledged support to my idea, and promised to share this page and the & 39;Scoring At Home& 39; Facebook page on their own pages, with a lot of them working in theatre/music/arts and are always keen to see new work and ideas so it& 39;s well worth your while posting your own links as they& 39;ll reach a large audience.

I& 39;ve set up a list of rewards for contributors as a big thank you for putting your time, money and above all faith in my idea and abilities and, if the funding is successful, I can only hope that the end results go a little way to voicing the sincere gratitude I have for you taking the time to look over my idea.

My sincerest thanks.
