This is a appeal to raise £7000 to finish the restoration of a 1897 Marshall Britannia portable steam engine.

The engine was built at Marshalls in 1897 where it was sent to western Victoria Australia it spent its working life mostly powering a rack saw bench sawing timber

The engine was brought back in 2001 where it was stored until we got it. The engine was completely worn out and required major restoration of which we have carried out over have of that work

we need help raising the money to finish the last of the work to bring this engine back to its full glory for everyone to enjoy powering once again a rack saw bench traveling the country sawing timber in demonstrations at vintage shows showing the younger generations how things were done and more importantly learning to keep the skills alive so that this can be enjoyed for another 120 years
