On 19th September 2015 we successfully raised £230 with 11 supporters in 14 days

RAF Winkleigh WWII Control Tower is a scheduled monument, derelict since 1990. You can help save and restore it!

It would be great to see something set up to tell everyone about the history of RAF Winkleigh. It's an intriguing story, one I've only just found out about while researching for my latest novel. It's a story which deserves to be more widely known. Good luck!

My Dad was one of the first building workers to work on the airfield, drafted in by Monks the building company based in Lancaster. It would be wonderful to save the tower and see it restored to its former glory.
