SAVE OUR SCHOOLS!
Help us make sure everyone knows about the funding cuts faced by our schools. Save Our Schools is going to hang huge banners outside every school in Brighton and Hove outlining the cuts they are facing – an average of £171,550 per school, £477 per pupil. Headteachers are part of the Save Our Schools campaign and are right behind this awareness raising action. They will unfurl banners on Friday 12th May.
We need your help to pay for the banners: we are not using school funds to pay for them. Each one costs around £50 and there are 71 schools in Brighton and Hove. All schools are being hit by cuts so we have commissioned and will pay for the banners collectively, not on a school by school basis. We encourage PTAs to consider contributing £50 if possible and for individuals to chip in what they can with a suggested donation of £5.
Any money raised over the cost of the banners will go to fund future Save Our School campaign activities (printing, equipment hire etc). Be part of this public show of support for our schools, give what you can.
