Sadie Clayton @ Art Basel Miami

Emerging British womenswear designer with sculptural art in her DNA trying to raise funds to become part of Art Basel Miami in December.

I'm an emerging British luxury sculptural womenswear designer representing a unique aesthetic in the British fashion scene.

I am not just a fashion designer, I have an architectural approach to design, working with avant-garde shapes and manipulating industrial materials especially my signature fabric - and the element that brings good luck - copper,  which I hammer and heat for a progressive finish. This sculptural ability has meant that I have been chosen over the last 18 months since my graduation to; demonstrate the art of working with copper metals as a part of the Nick Waplington / Alexander McQueen: Working Process exhibition at the Tate Britain, lead several workshops at the Tate Modern, show at the Artisanal Intelligence exhibition part of AltaRoma and create a bespoke piece for Alcantara and Not Just a Label at the Protein Gallery in Shoreditch.

My next project is the chance to show my sculptural pieces and a retrospective of my bombers in a month long exhibition to be held at Art Basel Miami.  The theme of the exhibition and the ongoing concept for my recent collections is time, how to hold on to time, the abstract nature of time and creating a personal headspace for creativity.  The exhibition will be kicked off with a press conference and VIP event to launch the start of Art Basel, which will then continue throughout December.

Through your Generous support and financial  Assistance,  I will be able to make this become a reality.
