Our mission

Our team's primary purpose an aim is to raise money for the Rainbow Trust charity, Rainbow Trust is a charity that provides emotional support for families with children that have life-threatening illnesses. If you want to know more about the charity that S.P.L.A.S.H is supporting, please visit their website: http://rainbowtrust.org.uk/about. Our mission will be to spread knowledge and information on Rainbow Trust to make people aware of the lifestyle families are having to live behind closed doors and how the support of members of the public is necessary and could have a significant impact on their lives. The reason we chose to work with Rainbow Trust is that apart from the charities main purpose, its a charity we all felt connected with, the foundation expected out help with open arms and an open mind, that is when the team realised that this was the charity we wanted to work for.

How you can help

By directly donating to the charity, you are allowing yourself to became part of something special. Not only will you be putting a smile on the faces of the children, but you will also be able to put the hearts of family members at ease as they know they will be able to get the help they need and deserve. Your help can go a long way.

Some examples of how your money could help

£5 Could buy a book full of bright pictures to encourage a child's early language skills.

£10 Could pay for a basic sensory toy to help entertain a terminally ill child with specials.

£23 Is enough to provide an hour's emotional and practical support to a family caring for a terminally ill child, helping them make the most of the precious time.

£44 Could buy a memory box a beautiful way to capture memories of treasured times. Our family Support Worker help decorates each table together with brothers and sisters while providing much needed emotional support. Each box can store cherished photos and keepsakes like toys and jewellery.

£168 pays for a day's visit from a Family Support Worker to help with everyday life. Coping with the demands of a sick child's takes a lot of energy and parents need extra help to deal with daily responsibilities. A day's visit from a Family Support Workers allows parents to attend to practical chores away from home, to look after other family members, relax or simply sleep, safe in the knowledge that their child is being overlooked by a trusted person who knows them and their needs.

£384 pays for a Bereavement Support Specialist for a month Rainbow Trust offers support to families both before and after the death of a child. Often Bereavement support can last for years after the loss. Experienced Family Workers mentor care team colleagues, helping them to offer the best advice and support possible to families facing bereavement.

£1,650 is the cost of support for a family with a terminally ill child for a whole year.

...and so much more.
