Rosie the Littlest Canal Museum is a floating art project started up by local East End artist Emma Whitfield. Rosie is a delightful little canal boat that has a museum and art gallery on board in the galley and also can sit 6 people on deck. Rosie hosts art events and workshops for local people and children in painting skills, promoting traditional art and design skills of the barge community. On board in the galley Rosie hosts an exhibition of artefacts from the history of the canals as well as a gallery of paintings of life on the canals by Emma. Rosie also hosts a vegan pop up cafe which has proved popular with a wide range of people including mothers and children on a stroll along the canal who can pop aboard for healthy snacks and to learn art skills for the price of a cup of tea and a one pound donation to the art gallery. In order to keep Rosie going and to develop her work, Rosie needs some maintainance and funding for renovations.
