Rooted in Nature is a ‘not-for-profit’ social enterprise, providing outdoor activities and experiences that are aimed at assisting people in Norfolk who may be struggling with low social mobility, mental health & wellbeing issues. In particular we work with young people who are not in education, employment or training, helping them to improve self-confidence and self-esteem.
We are raising funds to buy a canoe trailer, canoes and accessories of our very own - which means we won't have to hire them and will be even more flexible in providing activities.
The project will support participants to connect to local natural environments, to improve personal perceptions and possibilities, by encouraging participation in new experiences, under-take new challenges, and increase self-esteem and confidence.
Activities are delivered in partnership with a range of specialist education and activity providers, including paddle-sport coaches, forest school practitioners, outdoor leaders and tutors.
