This is my second year in a row when I was selected to represent the ITF ENGLAND Team at international competitions. This year has two main events such as the European Championships in Finland at the end of April and the World Cup in Hungary in October. I have been practicing ITF Taekwondo since I was 9 but never had the chance and the financial background to enter such well known large competitions. I have been many times national champion in sparring and in power breaking . Last year my greatest achievement was the 3rd place in Individual sparring at the ITF World Championships in Italy and my second best result was the 2nd place at AETF European Championships in individual sparring and in destruction in Scotland. Both times I was part of the Senior Female Team: in Italy we came 3rd and in Scotland we finished 2nd in team sparring. Also got third place in team power in Scotland.
I train 3-4 times a week plus I attend PUMA as well as National Squad trainings at weekends. To be able to do so I have to work so I can pay all the fees and transport that apply. Sadly, we are not sponsored to enter the competitions either. I have to pay for my own kit, outfit (itf approved), entry fees, flights and accommodation etc.
