It may have been a while since Arsenal and Tottenham won anything of note, but hidden away from the overpaid superstars and prawn sandwiches in the stands, there's another North London team with a genuine chance of winning some silverware...
Redmond Rovers is a team of talented young players from around the Manor House community, most of whom are lucky enough to be under 21. We can't lie, results have been hard to come by in our first season in the Edmonton Sunday League and a major reason for this has been a lack of training. Regular training sessions would mean not just improving our playing skills, fitness and organisation, but also building our sense of togetherness on the field and giving other young players from the community the chance to join our growing squad.
With most of our players still in college, affording the high costs of hiring local training facilities is tough. Which is why we're asking for your help. Any donation you can make, large or small, will be a huge boost for our team and for the good health of young adults within the Manor House community. Your contribution will be held by the Manor House Development Trust at the Redmond Community Centre, to be released for the 2017/18 season. Beyond the cost of training facilities, any extra funds raised will go towards buying an away kit.
Thank you in advance for supporting grassroots football.
