At St. Mary's Primary School, we want to provide our pupils with the best opportunities possible and we believe that reading is important to our children's success in school and work. The school desperately needs reading books which the children can read for enjoyment and we would like to develop a school library for all to share and enjoy, which will in turn develop our children's passion for reading, something that most will and do not get at home.
The selection of books in each classroom is currently significantly limited; with books that have been loved too much and a lot that are tangibly uninspiring. Most of the time, sadly, children are taking home books that have pages missing. It is a palpable issue across the school but something we do not have the funds for. Eventually we would also like to create a school library that provides our children with quality literature however, we cannot do this without your help.
I am sure your receive such requests all the time, and we are probably like many schools who are in the same position - trying to find money to develop their school, but finding it extremely difficult at this time - whom require your help, however we implore you and are in grave need for you to help us in a search to fill our school and our children's lives with books, books that will inspire and encourage their love for reading.
