 The Candidate

James was first elected as the MSP for Glasgow Cathcart in 2011. Prior to that he was the Councillor for the Langside ward and leader of the SNP group at Glasgow City Council. He grew up in this area and is proud to work hard for the people he represents.

The constituency runs from Carmunnock and Castlemilk in the South East to Kennishead and Carnwadric in the West taking in Auldhouse, Mansewood, Pollokshaws, Shawlands, Mount Florida, Battlefield, Cathcart, Newlands, Merrylee, Muirend, Braehead, Simshill, Croftfoot and King's Park.

 The Campaign

Local SNP members are gearing up to help James and his campaign team to fight this year's election. Our campaign has already started but we need your help to win.

What do we need the money for?

  • Campaign literature: We want to get our positive message about the work that James has done locally, and the Scottish Government have done nationally out to every one of the 35,000 houses in the constituency.

  • Letters to Voters: We'll target key voters and tell them what voting SNP will mean for them and their family and why they should place their trust in James and the SNP to deliver for them in a historic third term.

  • Badges, Posters & Banners. We want you to display your support for James and the party with pride - we'll need thousands of badges, window posters, and stickers.

We're not taking anything for granted - the only poll that matters is the one on the 5th May and we're going to campaign hard for every single vote.

You can donate any amount from £5 upwards. All donations will make a real difference and help us secure a decisive win in Glasgow Cathcart and return James Dornan as the MSP for the area.
