New stretch target
Wow! A huge thank you to everyone who helped us reach our £2000 target. The more we raise the better the chance is of getting Alison and other Greens into Holyrood.
Re-elect Alison Johnstone
Nearly 5 years ago Lothians voters marked their ballots and chose Alison Johnstone to represent them in the Scottish Parliament. Since then Alison has tirelessly brought a voice to those seeking a fairer and more sustainable Scotland. It's little surprise that Scotland thinks the Scottish Green Party has done a better job in opposition than any other party and put us on course to our best ever Holyrood election result next year.
Alison has held the government to account on social justice, land reform, climate change, pollution, nuclear disarmament and cleaner transport to name but a few areas.
She's pioneered the right of fans to buy their football clubs, made warm homes a National Infrastructure Priority, pursued a permanent ban on fracking and coal gasification, and worked to increase powers for Scotland through the Devolution Committee.
And at every turn she's stood up for local residents, whether tenants facing eviction in Leith, householders threatened by over-development at Meggetland, or city centre residents suffereing from inaction on air pollution.
Now we hope you'll see Alison's record and help her repeat that stunning success of 5 years ago so that her work can continue for another term.
We need your help!
Our record in the Scottish parliament has helped the Scottish Green Party reach 9,000 members and unprecedented polling numbers. But if we're to make the most of that we need your support.
To get Alison's campaign off the ground we'll need posters, banners, advertising, professional staff, and tens of thousands of leaflets. Greens don't have rich donors or the backing of multinational corporations, but what we do have is the backing of hundreds of thousands of Scots who want to see a better Scotland and a better world. That's why we are asking you to donate what you can towards our initial target of £2,000.
- £10 gets us a day of digital advertising.
- £30 goes toward printing costs of campaign handout materials.
- £50 provides the campaign with 50 eye-catching window posters.
- £75 pays for room hire for events and training.
- £100 buys 4,000 election leaflets.
