The sad attacks on Parliament and Westminster Bridge today have reminded us all of the valuable and dedicated work of our police men and women. We all owe our safety to these brave men and women and today one officer gave his life defending the public.
The police service does not have the resources to maintain support to families long after a bereavement and the 'Care Of Police Survivors' charity (COPS) connects bereaved family members with others who understand and provides them the support needed to start rebuilding their lives.
To honour the life of the police officer that was killed today I am trying to raise a £10,000 donation for the 'Care Of Police Survivors' - please show your respect for our police, our unity as a country and our grief for the brave officer who died today.
I am not a member of the charity or a member of any police force - I am just a Londoner who wants to do something to help in a bad situation.
