Puggy's GB Age Group Debut

Having successfully qualified help me realise my dream of racing in GB colours at the 2015 European Aquathlon Championships.

New stretch target

This summers European Aquathlon Championships was the first time I qualified to race on an international stage for Great Britain. I have also secured my qualification for this autumns World Duathlon Championships and am aspiring to qualify for this years World Triathlon Championships also.

Any sponsorship raised as "overfunding" as I've now reached my initial target will be put aside for funding those competitions if I chose to compete. If not it will be used to help fund my busy summer race program including the National Stanadard Distance Championships in Liverpool.

Project aim

Having successfully qualified help me realise my dream of racing in GB colours at the 2015 European Aquathlon Championships.

About the project

I have always been a keen athlete, having swum competitively throughout my adolescence. Upon returning to education in 2011 following being made redundant from the Royal Air Force due to central government spending cuts, I fell back in love with training and sport and threw around the dream of one day competing as a Great Britain Age-Group competitor having gained inspiration from a course mate.

Graduating last summer I made the conscious effort to formally commit to training and competing as a multi-eventer whether that be triathlon, duathlon or in this case aquathlon. Qualification for this European Championships was gained following a joint first place finish at the Burntwood Aquathlon in March, and will mark my first outing as a Great Britain Age-Grouper.

Of course I'm overjoyed at qualifying but the only limiting factor to my competition is funding. The money I'm trying to raise will help subsidise Great Britain kit, travel and accommodation in the host city of Cologne, Germany. Any support will be greatly appreciated.
