Project Tabitha is a "rapid-response" direct intervention project designed by PCLI to bring happiness and hope to homes during critical periods and periods of festivities when severely cash-strapped individuals and families feel left out due to their circumstances. We provide food items, clothing, house hold items etc to individuals to help bring joy into their lives. We believe strongly that everyone can lend a helping hand however little; every little helps. Its about time we do what we can to show love and as love breeds unity, the world will come together as one and there will be world peace.
PCLI is an NGO registered (CAC/IT/NO/31913) in Nigeria since 2009. We have a passion for godly marriages, families and communities. Our core purpose is restoring, reviving, and reinforcing family foundations and we actively pursue this through initiatives aimed at rebuilding the framework of family relationships guided the infallible word of God.
Our ultimate goal is to establish family relationships firmly-grounded in God’s word that strenghten marriages, resulting in committed homes and sustained communities.
Our next intervention is slated to be held on Good Friday - 25th of March 2016 - at Olambe, Akute; a densely populated under-developed community where the residents are well below the poverty line in Ogun State, Nigeria. The location is quite close to the suburbs of Lagos State; the economic capital of Nigeria.
The primary purpose of this crowdfunding initiative is to raise funds for the intervention as we intend to give out 5kg bags of rice, 2 litre bottles of vegetable oil and clothing items, shoes and the likes to residents of this financially challenged community so that they do not feel left out in the Easter celebrations.
Our projections are that we will reach out to about 500 families who live on less than £5.00 / $10.00 per day.
