Over Christmas, we at the University of Bristol Cycling Club (UOBCC) have had two of our club bikes stolen! The club keeps a small fleet of hire bikes to encourage participation both for new members trying the sport and for existing members to try different disciplines. These bikes are free to use for club members and students who may want to join the club and are a really key part of how we promote cycling at the university.
The club runs on a tight budget and we receive no direct funding from the university for kit purchases so at the moment we cannot afford to replace the missing bikes which are our two most popular sizes (and not covered by the university's storage insurance).
Please help us out by making a donation to allow us get our capability to foster cycling amongst students in Bristol back!
Any amount you can spare is a great help. The cost to replace both bikes will be around £900 any excess will go towards better locks and insurance!
