Please help me fund my Counselling Diploma

I'm Angela, a Person-Centred Counsellor in Training. I've been offered the opportunity to study for my Diploma. Please help me!

Who am I?

My name is Angela Galante and I am 26 years old. For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to help people and to make a difference. This is the reason I am appealing to you for help, so that I can complete the final part of my counselling training and can offer people in need with a compassionate and caring counsellor to rely on.

Always trying to help...volunteering at home and away

After leaving university, I saved to train as a TEFL teacher. With my qualification I travelled to both Sri Lanka and Tanzania to volunteer as a teacher. They were such special experiences. I was humbled by the children in both countries, their commitment to education, their incredible work ethic and especially their kindness and generosity with what little they had. I left both countries feeling like I had helped, in a small way, these incredible children towards a more fulfilling life.

I have aways been involved in voluntary work at home too. For many years I have worked with my local community, helping asylum seekers and refugees as well as people suffering with eating disorders. I think that over time, I realised that whatever path I took, I wanted to do something that would help my fellow man. One day it must have just clicked, I wanted to become a counsellor.

Why should you help me?

So many people can't afford the help they need and with mental illness on the increase, so many people must be quietly suffering.  I would love to continue my voluntary work and offer some free or subsidised sessions to those who are in need.

Please help!

I need your help with raising £2,000 toward my tuition fees, anything you can give will help. Your kindness and generosity will help me to fulfill my dream of becoming a counsellor committed to offering help to those who need it.
