He was our younger brother. Our youngest son. Our silly, loving uncle. We lost him last Sunday far too soon. For those of you who didn't know him, look at the image for this page and he's the good looking bloke in the Man United shirt. For those of you who did know him, you might remember him for his big cheeky smile, walking around Middleton with his lawnmower. Well, that's how a lot of us remember him anyway.
Setting up a crowdfunding page for Paul's funeral is hard for our family. But needs must. Like the selfless guy that he always was, he had pet insurance for his cats but didn't get around to insuring his own life. It may have been short sighted, but someone so young doesn't always prepare for death. He was just about to turn 56 next week.
We're trying to put as much money towards his funeral as possible, but sadly we just can't afford it. We know it's Christmas and we're not expecting to get the money we need, but we have to suck up our pride for Paul's sake and ask for help. He deserves a proper goodbye.
We all have stories about Paul, and there's not many people in the world who can make an impact on so many lives. Whether it was a brief encounter or relationship, people always remember him. We wish you could have met him.
