Chapel Allerton Art Festival, Photography Exhibition: A journey into the timeless landscapes discovering my homeland Folklore.
I have been selected to present my work in a venue as part of the Art Trail as part of the Chapel Allerton Art Festival. Organised by Inkwell and in collaboration with various venues around Chapel Allerton participating and, one or more artists exhibiting in each venue.
My name is Carlo Tribo Civolani, I graduated in visual communication studies in Bologna in 2005 then moved to the UK to continue my studies. I'm happily settled in Leeds where there are plenty of opportunities to get involved with art projects allowing me to pursuit my passion for photography.
Why are you Crowdfunding?
The theme chosen for the trail, in accord with the Chapel Allerton Art Festival, is Folklore. I have been asked by the organisers to do an exhibition using any form of visual art to enter the Art Festival. I wanted to explore this subject for sometimes and this task, gave me the chance to do so. I embarked on a proper adventure back to my homeland during the period of the harvest in the middle of July. I wanted to document the relationship between landscapes, time and tradition.
This exhibition is part of a bigger project but at the moment I need a little financial help to get started and cover the cost of printing, developing and framing.
Here's a selection of some of my works that will be on exhibition at the trail:
