INTRODUCING THE PETIT EN SUITE SUITE
Hello My name is Alison,
A 38 year old mother of three children, two girls and a boy.
I first came up with the Petit En Suite idea back in 2009 whilst potty training my little boy. He showed no interest in potty training what so ever, we literally tried everything in the book, but nothing seemed to work. His two elder sisters was very easily trained so could not understand why we were having difficulties this time around.
Then one day my daughter made a den in the living room using a sheet draped from arm chair to arm chair - whilst the girls was playing he took the opportunity to sneak inside the den, out of sight, to use his potty. Bravo!
At that point we realised he just did not like using his potty in front of anybody, so my eldest daughter set about assembling his Little Tikes tent up inside the living room. From then on this became his little mini private bathroom space. Not only did this concept capture interest from him - friends and family's children all loved joining in on the fun exciting approach too!
Immediately I started to do some research and found it was very common, that lots of children attempt to seek privacy behind furniture, curtains and doors in a bid to shield out of sight whilst potty training. I started a search for potty training products that offered privacy but could not find such a product available anywhere on the market.
The idea was born but being in the hair industry for over 20 years I had zero experience in business, intellectual property, product design or marketing. Admittedly I did not have a clue of how to move forward with my notion. Despite the lack of knowledge I could not stop thinking about my idea and the potential the toilet training aid could have for so many others.
That was until one morning when doing my usual cleaning routine, my attention was brought to the television. "ITV THIS MORNING" programme was featuring a company called Innovate who had helped people successfully bring their ideas to market. I quickly jotted their contact details down and decided to make contact with them. They conducted an initial assessment, on my idea, which came back positive. Innovate designed the 3D engineered images and guided me through the protection process
Petit En Suite can be that space that is often craved.
Petit En Suite is a unique innovative indoor/outdoor toilet training aid for children aged 2-4 years old. The product has been designed to resemble a mini bathroom - encouraging the process to be learned using fun cognitive role play. Imaginative play is proven to be the best form of infant learning. They will learn to recognise the familiar bathroom icons and associate them with an understanding of bathroom activities, cutting training time and making the eventual transition to the " big bathroom" much less daunting.
Potty training can be challenging enough at home without the dreaded outdoor toileting too. Unfamiliar unhygienic public toilets and portaloos can cause training relapse during family holidays, festivals, camping and picnics for children who prefer familiarity and routine.
The light weight easy to transport Petit En Suite converts in seconds into an instant private space for children during outdoor events - meaning consistency can be applied throughout the entire process.
Concerning reports show there are up to six children in each reception class here in the UK still wearing nappies, which is fast becoming a problem to teaching staff. Unfortunately a problem which seems to be rising year on year.. Make VOOM for the new potty training innovation - lets join in on the fun !!!
