The Prime Minister has called a snap general election and the Isle of Wight has a chance to choose a new member of Parliament. I have made the decision to put my hat in the ring, as I feel it is time we had someone in Westminster who works just for interests of the Island, building it's future and wellbeing for all.
I've had the honour of representing Newport Central for 8 years and I have delivered many projects, led the Parish Council and now achieved an Executive role on the IW Council. I do this by working with others for the common good, listening, co-operating and taking a pragmatic approach. I am not afraid to put my head above the parapet to speak up, not being a member of a party enables me to be only accountable to the people. I grew up in Newport, still living and working here, it's my home. I went to St Thomas of Canterbury Primary, Arch Bishop King Middle and Medina High School, my son attends a local secondary school.
