A sponsored sleep out to highlight homelessness and raise funds for Oswestry Open House to provide a community lunch club.
About the project
Oswestry Open House began life in October 2014 with the aim of providing a Christmas Day for those wanting companionship, without finance or facility. It soon became obvious that Oswestry needed a community more regularly than once a year, so the quaterly community lunch was launched.
We have so far be benefitted from the generosity of local businesses, but we would like to create our own funding so the community group is not reliant.
Our first fundraising event is Oswestry Big Sleep Out. The idea is to have fun whilst highlighting homelessness and raising money.
