For a long time parents have been coming to see me and asking me to open a nursery in Newport, I have (up until now) had to say no as I could not find suitable premises. However, I am delighted to announce that we are going to work in partnership with Newport Youth Centre and move our extended school provision into that building. This will by itself be an exciting partnership for everyone involved, so please keep your eye open for more on this exciting new venture.
This in turn will obviously leave my current building in Frambury Lane available for me to turn into a nursery/day care centre – therefore I am opening it out to the residents of Newport to tell me exactly what you want. Opening hours, ages you would like me to cater for, things you would like to see in your local nursery. My email is email@example.com so please feel free to contact me with your ideas – we will look to open in September 2016, so the sooner you get your emails over to me the more time I have to put them in place.
As with everything there is always a downside and having had a meeting with Essex earlier this week there is no funding available for me to accomplish the refurbishment, so we need to raise the money by ourselves; starting with the outside area … Again we have lots of ideas, so please keep your eyes open for news on our up and coming events; but in the meantime we have opened a fundraising page where you can go and pledge some money in order to help us along the way.
Don’t be shy, click and pledge, it all helps and you have no idea how much it will be appreciated. This is very exciting for Newport; having its own nursery will benefit so many families locally. We are also looking for staff, so it will open more local jobs – any Level 3’s out there with a relevant childcare qualification that would like to be part of this exciting new venture, please email me; we need a Manager and practitioners too.
So thank you in advance and keep you eyes open for the other fundraisers.
