Offstage - a photography exhibition

Hi, welcome to the 'Offstage' crowdfunder page and thanks for taking an interest in my pitch. I'm fundraising to put on an exhibition of new photographic work. I'm best known locally as a wedding photographer, but I'm keen to try new things and move into new areas of work, and portraiture is my love. I have been invited by the exhibition venue to exhibit some photos of bands and musicians in the Lancaster & Morecambe area where I live. The exhibition will feature two photographers: Pauline Clark who will be shooting bands 'onstage' and myself. I'll be shooting 'offstage' portraits. This pitch is solely for my half of the exhibition. The money raised will go towards meeting the costs of printing, mounting and framing of the work. Taking my cue from the music and the visual style of the musicians who create it, I intend to create new photographic portraits with a strong visual impact. The Exhibition is set to take place in April 2013 at The Dukes in Lancaster and it is hoped that it will show in other local venues, including More Music in Morecambe, where many of the bands I intend to photograph started out. For those of you unfamiliar with Crowdfunder, it's a fun and risk-free way to pool small amounts of money to back a good idea or creative project. It's also an all-or-nothing affair if you'd like to support the project, you make a pledge and I get closer to meeting the fundraising goal. If I reach or exceed the goal you receive the appropriate pledge reward (and my eternal gratitude!). However, if the goal isn't reached I get none of the pledges, nobody gets charged for anything and no one receives any incentive reward. I'm not looking for a huge amount of money on this project, and I completely understand that money is tight for everyone right now, so if you can't make a pledge, please do me a favour and pass this link along to everyone you think might be interested in my project. The pictures in the gallery are not a part of the exhibition, but represent work previously done.
