It is designed specifically for athletes with a disability affecting locomotor function, It is played indoors on a court similar in size to a badminton court.
Nottinghamshire Boccia Club was formed in 2011 and provides an opportunity for children, teens and young adults with disability to take part in this paralympic competitive sport, this in turn helps build confidence and social skills, develops relationships, teaches respect and encourages family involvement.
