Not Dogs - Meaty Meals Without the Meat!
We're Katie & Jane, the creators of vegetarian fast-food brand 'Not Dogs' and we'd love to raise £10,000 to begin our mission to take Not Dogs from a little food truck to a high street near you!
In our team of two there's one meat-eater and one veggie and we were both frustrated with the lack of trustworthy meaty meals and mouth-watering vegetarian food that gives that 'fast food' hit so we decided to create our own brand - 'Not Dogs'!
For 18 months now we've been travelling up and down the country, just the two of us, in our purple food truck providing delicious, unique meat-free fast food to delight both meat-eaters and vegetarians. The number one question we were asked when we were on the road was 'Where is your restaurant?' which has led us to the next phase of our development - to secure our first restaurant location and launch it in 2016.
Introducing Not Dogs
The aim of Not Dogs is to provide food lovers, both carnivores and veggies, with a delicious, fun, quality menu to excite and amaze. Not Dogs is completely vegetarian, 100% meat-free (something we are very proud of) without lacking the satisfaction we all get from delicious fast-food such as burgers and hotdogs. Our ‘Meaty Meals Without the Meat’ are so good that at least a third of our customers are meat-eaters! We are advocates of a meat-reducing diet, not only to help us all become healthier but also reduce the negative impact of excessive meat production on the environment.
Our range includes veggie hotdogs (created with Quorn) packed with our homemade toppings such as the Kickin' Katie Nacho Dog and Plain Jane (see what we did there!) and popular 'The Original Frank' with our own recipe beer-fried onions.
We've recently added 'Crispy Potato Lattice Fries' to the menu which went down a storm, plus we're currently developing our very first meat-free burger and amazing breakfast muffins! We have a special 'Vegan Dog' and gluten-free options too.
We’ve served up almost 10,000 Not Dogs, and been to some of the UK's best music festivals, including V-Festival, Lovebox and Radio One’s Big Weekend. We've met thousands of happy Not Dogs fans and had brilliant press written about us in Women's Health, Fabulous Magazine and Stylist to name a few plus we've even won some awards along the way!

We've build up a fantastic community on social media and taken hundreds of 'Sausage Selfies' which we love to share online. We even managed a few famous #sausageselfie pictures too including Sir Richard Branson, Paul O'Grady and punk band Slaves!
We're a new, exciting, passionate brand and are ready to hit a high street near you with the first Not Dogs restaurant. We wanted to reach as many people as possible to gain market research in our self-funded first year, and we are convinced that Not Dogs will prove to be a popular addition to the UK high street.
We are so proud to have completed our first 18 months of building Not Dogs into the popular food offering that it is. We now need your help to get to the next level and open up the first Not Dogs restaurant which will hopefully lead to many more restaurants in a city near you!
Funds raised on Crowdfunder will go towards our plans in 2016 to launch the first Not Dogs restaurant and will directly be put towards helping us to secure that must-have location for our first home!
Aside from putting even bigger smiles on both of our faces, we'd like to offer a number of exclusive 'Crowdfunder' rewards as a thank you for your support!
Get your name on the 'Sausage Selfie Wall' in the first restaurant, receive a 20% discount every time you visit or even bring Not Dogs into your own kitchen with our exclusive apron...
Celebrate with us at our first ambassador party or even receive an invite to the most exclusive party in town - the Not Dogs launch party! Or maybe you'd love a behind-the-scenes tour with Katie & Jane...
Of course the ultimate reward is the 'Not Dogs for Life' membership card! Your exclusive card will allow you to enjoy Not Dogs for life! Plus, as an extra reward, we will name a new menu item after you so you can eat your namesake time and time again!
