A weekend long festival in Llandudno, North Wales celebrating the art of burlesque and cabaret
About the project
The North Wales Burlesque and Cabaret Festival is now in its second year and we're looking to build on the success of the first, but to do that we need your help.
We had the crazy idea of running a burlesque and cabaret festival back in the summer of 2014 in order to bring new and exciting acts to Wales whilst simultaneously being a platform to showcase the talents of local acts too. And in January of this year, after many months of hardwork from everyone involved, the first North Wales Burlesque Festival happened.
Those who came loved it. Those who didn't come wished they had. And so we decided to do it all again, but only if we could make it bigger and better than before.
As those of you who have been supporting our journey will already know we have some very exciting acts, workshops and guest speakers already booked to appear at the festival in 2016, including the amazingly talented photographer Neil Kendall. If you don't know Neil he's the man behind some of the most iconic burlesque and cabaret images of our time with past clients including none other than Dita Von Teese. Neil will be running workshops for both aspiring photographers and models as well as giving a talk on the history of burlesque and bringing his phenomenal burlesque museum.
But we don't want to stop there.
We not only want the festival to be the best in Wales, we want it to be the best. Period. The best workshops. The best competitions. The best speakers. The best shows.
Every £1 you pledge will help us to put on the festival the likes of which has never been seen in Wales before.
