I can't believe how generous everyone has been! To reach our target in three days is amazing, thank you so much!
I have set a stretch target of £599. This would allow us to purchase the full set of 43 folders instead of the initial 36 AND give us enough money left over to buy one full score for a new piece of music (suggestions welcome and it will go to public vote on our facebook page)!
Thank you again xx
Midlothian Community Concert Band would like to raise money to buy 36 Music Folders for our sheet music to stop it falling on the floor!
Midlothian Community Concert Band was set up in 2010 with the aim of creating a space for musicians of all ages in the community to come together and learn from each other. We have members aged 11 to 80 and all are welcome to come and play with us.
We aim to play at least three concerts each year and have no official funding, our wonderful conductors volunteer their time.
At the moment our sheet music is kept in some rather scabby blue folders and Dave Knox gets angry when the music falls out and gets dropped on the floor.
Our sheet music deserves a nice comfy home and we would very much like to walk on to a stage with professional looking folders for it!
We need 36 folders at around £12.50 each so that we can carry on creating beautiful music for the community!
Perhaps you've been to one of our concerts? Perhaps your child plays or will one day play with us? Perhaps YOU play with us or would like to? Or perhaps you are just a genuinely kind giving person who would like to give a local project a boost? Whoever you are, your donation would be very gratefully received. Thank you!
