The Night Owls Association works to set up 'Night Owls' projects in Universities across the UK. 'Night Owls' are student run groups, and aim primerally to help vulnerable students on night's out (in the early hours of the morning when crime rates against students are highest).
Members of the association will be running a sponsored half-marathon in order to raise money to bring the Night Owls service to other Universities, helping to get vulnerable people home safely.
We are hoping to raise as much money as possible to support universities creating there own night owls. The money we raise will be distributed depending on how much we make on the following things:
£300 Cost of First Aid training for 1 group of 30-40 Students
£250 Cost of Self-Defence training for 1 group of 30-40 Students
£80 Cost of Uniform (Enough for a university putting on up to 2 shifts a week)
£750 Cost of Stock (Medical and other bag supplies for one whole year)
