Who we are are
Hilldrop Community Centre has been open since 1986 and we cater for lots of local kids in lots of different ways. We run a twice weekly free Toy Library, free Stay & Play drop-in sessions and Chatterpillars speech therapy playgroup as well as afterschool care for 5-11yrs and a holiday playscheme with trips to museums, gardening classes and relaxed, safe play. These groups serve over 50 children from families in the local area every single week, not to mention the wonderful children's birthday parties we host every weekend. Please take a look at www.hilldrop.org.uk for more information on our provision for children and our dedicated, experienced and friendly staff and volunteers.
What we're fundraising for
Our kids love to play and they are in real need of new soft play equipment and sensory toys to replace their well-loved and well-used items which are now worn out and no longer fun to play with. Although we receive a small amount of funding through grants for the upkeep of the centre, we need to raise the money ourselves to replace these much needed items.
This summer we are reaching out to the wider community for the first time to help with our campaign and we assure you that any donation will be a big help no matter how small.
