To publish a book to raise funds for The National Autistic Society.
On December the 31st 2013 I took the bold step of pasting this as my Facebook status - "OK, everyone always wishes everyone else a Happy New Year so my contribution to making your 2014 a very happy year is to endeavour to tell you a new joke every day.
And so began a year of daily joke telling on my timeline.
My aim is to enable a book of those jokes to be published and sold with 100% of the profits going to The National Autistic Society UK.
The postings are jokes I have heard over the years, read online or been sent via email. I have no idea who wrote them but they have brought a lot of laughter to my "facebook family".
Autism is a disorder close to my heart, my daughter is on the spectrum and besides the jokes I will also share some funny stories with you to give you an insight into life living with a person with autism.
Money raised from the sale of the book will enable The Autistic Society to continue providing support for parents via the autism helpline, pay for a befriender to meet regularly with someone with autism or to give practical support to someone with autism who is looking for work.
