Muslim Fashion Design – A Fashion Line That Combines Style and Modesty
My name is Khadija Abdelhamid and I am the founder of Muslim Fashion Design. Muslim Fashion Design is an online retail business which aims to fill the gap between Style and Modesty.
The idea was raised from Muslim Women’s experiences and from my personal experience, it is difficult living in Western Society to find clothes that are trendy but modest. The business also caters for Women of all belief's who love to dress modestly.
Another problem Muslim Fashion Design is solving is the opportunity of having a Fashion Line that caters to any occasion at any time. The business is solving a problem that so many Women go through, which is the insufficient availability of modest clothing during every season rather than just being available during summer.
I would like to gain your support to raise finance to develop prototypes of my Clothing Line, cover warehouse costs, hire staff including a web developer. The development of my project will be used to support my pitch to angel investors on the 1st of April.
I need to start small so I can successfully fund my first year of business, so by the time I move into the second year of business I will be financially stable to continue my venture. I would like to invite you to back my project and follow my journey with this business.

Empowering Muslim Women through Entrepreneurship
My aim from the Crowdfunding Project is to empower Muslim Women to start their own business in the UK through the progression of my Crowdfunding Project. I have partnered with my University, the University of Westminster to run Muslim Women Entrepreneurship Classes with my mentor Julian Hall.
The classes are to Empower Muslim Women to learn how to start their own business, increase their skills/knowledge in Entrepreneurship, improve their public speaking and learn how to build connections in the business industry. Our long term goal is to create networking events for Muslim Women in the UK.
I have achieved to work in partnership with H&M's Muslim Model Mariah Idrissi who has her own business Salon Marrakesh, to work together and empower Muslim Women.
The money raised from crowdfunding will allow me to produce prototype clothes, cover warehouse costs, hire staff and cover some of the expenses for the Muslim Women Entrepreneurship Classes.
