New stretch target
Any extra money we achieve on our stretch target will go towards purchasing more technical equipment we need - instead of hiring. That means that more of our own funds can be spent on our creative community and education projects rather than on hire costs to support their final performance.
A go anywhere completely inflatable mobile venue with staging and technical equipment, able to seat 250 people theatre style and 500 standing.
About the project
We have been successful in gaining £179,585 from Arts Council England for a one of a kind touring venue that can seat a minimum 250 people and 20 performers on stage. We intend to use the venue to tour into places and spaces to deliver concerts, education and community projects to those who would not normally get chance to see such work in their own community. Whether this be in a town centre, village green, school playground, sports centre car park, local park, playing fields or hospital grounds. We are fundraising for capital match funding for the venue and the lighting, sound and technical equipment needed - including a Sennheiser enhanced hearing system with headsets, to make productions inside the venue the high quality events the communities deserve.
Our intention is to also hire out the mobile venue and equipment to other arts organisations and businesses, just like a venue would hire its own facilities when not in use, to earn income to support our capital fundraising campaign, and ultimately, to support direct funding towards our community and educations projects.
Sinfonia Viva is a Grammy nominated orchestra and charity and we raise all the money to put on the concerts and community projects ourselves. We are an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation which represents approx. 22% of our overall income. We have a national reputation for our concert work and the creative education and community projects we perform.
