Two week charity expedition to Pattaya, Thailand for 12 students from Catholic High School in Slough to make a difference to someones life.

Project aim

We are travelling to Pattaya, Thailand in February 2016 to help change unfortunate childrens lives so that they don't have to suffer anymore

About the project

Hello,

As a group of 12 students in St Josephs Catholic High School 6th Form, we must raise a amount of £13,000 for our trip to Pattaya in February 2016. We come from an ordinary state School and, just like all schools, we want to fight to make a difference in other countries for the less fortunate, therefore, as participants in the 'Mission 2 Thai Project' we must raise the full amount ourselves and are exploring many different fundraising possibilities.

During our visit to Pattaya, we will spend our time in day care centres for young children, drop in centres for them to sleep and eat, School for the blind and disabled where we will help with their skills to have the best chance in life and we will also spend time in the orphange set up by Father Ray where they look after up to 850 young children from 1 day old to 18 years old. During our visit there, we will spend time meeting and getting to know the young people and building relationships and trust to help them forget about all the awful things that have happened.

However, it is obvious that our trip will not be cheap. As well as paying for flights, accomodation, food and other essentials, our aims include providing some of the most deprived young people in Pattaya, Thialand with new skills for them in later life, Food, clothes and bedding in the slums and also the support them with what they need so much but sometmes cant get. This is where the £13,000 we need to raise will go.

I really hope you consider our cause worthy of your time and money. Our school is trying to make a differance no matter this distance and our 'Mission 2 Thai Project' is one of the many ways we try to fufill this. Thank you for donating
